Child Safety Standards Policy
Protecting children and ensuring a safe digital environment for all users
At Klicktape, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all users, with a particular focus on protecting children from harm. As a privacy-first social media platform, we prioritize user safety and comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. This policy outlines our standards and practices to prevent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on our platform, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in India and globally.
Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Klicktape has a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that involves child sexual abuse or exploitation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- • Content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children, such as grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any form of sexual exploitation.
- • Creation, uploading, or distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), including imagery or content that depicts, encourages, or promotes the sexual abuse of children.
- • Inappropriate interactions targeted at children, such as predatory behavior or sexualization of minors.
Any content or account found violating these standards will be immediately removed, and appropriate actions, including reporting to law enforcement and relevant authorities, will be taken.
In-App Reporting Mechanism
Klicktape provides an in-app feedback and reporting mechanism to allow users to flag inappropriate content or behavior, including potential CSAE or CSAM. Here's how it works:
- • Report Feature: Users can access the "Report" option on every user profile, reel, or anonymous room within the Klicktape app.
- • Reporting Process: Users are prompted to select a reason for the report (e.g., inappropriate content, CSAE concerns) and provide additional details if necessary.
- • Escalation and Review: Reports related to CSAE or CSAM are automatically escalated for immediate review by our moderation team. Confirmed violations result in content removal, account suspension, and reporting to authorities.
This mechanism ensures users can report concerns directly within the app, fostering a safe community environment.
Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Klicktape takes swift and decisive action upon identifying CSAM, in accordance with our published standards and applicable laws:
- • Content Removal: Any identified CSAM is immediately removed from the platform.
- • Account Action: Accounts responsible for uploading or distributing CSAM are suspended or banned.
- • Reporting to Authorities: Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for incidents involving users in the United States, or to relevant regional authorities in India, such as the Ministry of Women and Child Development or local law enforcement, as required by the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012.
We employ a combination of automated detection tools and manual review processes to monitor user-generated content and proactively identify potential CSAE or CSAM.
Compliance with Child Safety Laws
Klicktape complies with all relevant child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- • India: The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012, and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
- • Global: Applicable international laws and standards, including reporting obligations to NCMEC or equivalent regional authorities.
- • Google Play Policies: Klicktape self-certifies compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy, ensuring our app prohibits CSAE, provides an in-app feedback mechanism, addresses CSAM, and adheres to legal requirements.
We maintain a robust process for reporting confirmed CSAM to authorities and regularly review our policies to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving legal standards.
